These strips began in 2008 with a series collectively called "Noir." Only one character, Marianne, survived the first two strips. Life is cheap in the comics.
Marianne met hard-boiled private eye Davis Morgan in the third story, which is also the story where Neda first appeared. After that the stories usually centred on Davis and Neda. Sixteen black and white stories appeared under the name "Noir & Blanc"--because under Neda's influence Davis became soft-boiled, sometimes even poached; and because they became less noirish and more like 1930's mystery movies. Humour kept creeping in, especially in the stand-alone colour stories featuring the Morgans. Strips providing continuity with the many characters are interspersed in the stories.
All of the Dark City Stories are now on this site.
